This is the second book I have read of Gemma Arlington which is a part of a new series. This as she likes to quote is her “Baby series, her pride and joy.” I already had a bit of an insight on what might happen in the book, but must admit that I was still very surprised in certain parts that I didn’t at all see coming which concludes it to be a wonderful read.
Although a bigger book in comparison to her last, once again I found myself reading this in one seating. The story is based on the country girl Poppy, or as others like to call her ‘Pops’ or ‘Poptart’. I loved the introduction of all the characters and diving into the world of the Amore.
I loved the Angel Rooms and the Amore Intimates store which has made me very curious as to what else she will write on them. I love the twist, turns and taunts as she finds herself torn between both ex roommate in college, Flynn, and the always reliable Seth; who in College she always wanted to give a go, but never had the chance. I fell in love with all the Amore men who were announced in this book. They are cocky, rude, obnoxious and swear a lot. But hey as a fellow Aussie I can understand the humour.
A must read if you are just after an interesting and curios sexual world. Wait til you visit the ‘Angel Rooms’, I loved the originality of it. Good job Gemma, now hurry up so I can read the next!!!
Wow!!! So I just finished reading this amazing book, The Unexpected Wedding, and I am in love with it!! I like books that shows views of the other main characters and this book does that but without all that re-telling the story again but instead it picks up from where it left off. It was brilliantly written and had me guessing and anticipating about the outcome that I was on the edge of my seat!! I fell in love with Poppy and her character and I wish I could be more like her with her assertiveness. I don't write spoilers in my reviews, sorry if you were looking for some, but it is a wonderful book that had me laughing and oohing and awing and it had a few wtf!? moments too. I give it 5 stars well done Gemma Arlington!! I found a new author to follow.
