Sorry, author Carter. I just realized I neglected to review this story after I read it over two years ago so I'll do it right now. I gave it 5 Stars on my Kindle author's page so I know I loved it. This may be geared for a younger audience but I loved it, too, and I'm 66. I remember I truly enjoyed the story of two misfits joining forces and overcoming tremendous odds to save those they loved. I know the idea has been done before but I felt this story was unique and well worth the read.Sorry I'm rough on details but this book deserves a heck of a lot more reviews than the two listed here! Come on, readers, give it a try.

This book was very different from any other story I have heard in this genre. I was sucked into the characters' world immediately and rooted for the good guys throughout their journey. Some bits were unexpected, while other bits were a little predictable, but I still give it 5 stars!
Out of curosity I selected this fantasy and was quite pleased with the results. A headstrong red headed young girl paired up with a runt giant and it worked into a compelling story. There's a bit of steampunk here and a bit of majic as well. All of the evil king and danger you could wish for in a book that young or older adult's will enjoy. good stuff indeed.
